Valid EICR certificate.
6) Up-to-date with smoke and carbon monoxide alarm
regulations.
7) Given your tenants “How to rent: the checklist
for renting in England” guide.
8) Carried out a fire safety risk assessment.
9) Carried out checks for Legionnaire’s disease.
10) Keep on top of your repairing obligations.
11) All furniture and furnishings meet the
required standards.
12) Insurance up-to-date.
13) If using a letting agent, make sure your agent
belongs to a redress scheme.
14) Obtained any consent required to let a property
